New Years Resolution

My New Years resolution this year is to be more active on my site.  I am dedicating myself to writing more blog posts to keep all my current and potential clients in the loop of what I am doing behind the chair regularly.

Lately, I have been doing a lot of Japanese hair straightenings.  There has been a real shift in  thinking about hair health lately.  Women are tired of sacrificing the health and beauty of their hair to obtain a certain look.  I have been hearing from a ton of women that they are sick of frying their hair everyday with their flat-irons and blowdryers.  They want to find a gentler way to get the look they want, on the long term.  Japanese straightening has been around for a while now, and women are coming around to the idea that this is a gentle treatment that gives you the straight hair you want, without all the damage, loss of shine and breakage.  I am happy to see this trend toward health, and the realization that Japanese straightening can actually benefit your hair on the long term.

I obtained my certification in the Bio-Ionic retexturizing system in 2002, and have been performing the service ever since.  I love the results I get each and every time, but my real joy comes from seeing a client amazed when I finish their hair, and they see for the first time how straight and shiny and soft their hair is.  Most of my clients never imagined they could get out of the shower, let their hair air dry and have straight hair.  I love being able to give someone the freedom to not be worried about their hair all the time.  I see lots of women before their trips to humid areas, vacations at the beach, weddings, events…anything where the last thing they want is to be stressed about keeping their hair tamed.  I see a ton of professional women who do not have the time nor the energy to be spending on 30-45 minutes of blowdrying and flat-ironing every day or every other day.  Also, mothers and new mothers who simply don’t have the free hands or time to put into their looks.  I absolutely love being able to help a new mommy feel beautiful!

Hope you have a wonderful 2010!!
